Morning came soon enough, and though Falcon was ready for whatever the humans had to offer, he was curious to see the little girl. He felt safe around her and he wanted nothing more then to be with her at that moment. Finally, it was late morning and the barn door slowly creeked open and in popped small Emily. She wore a pink dress with shiny white shoes. `It's Easter morning big boy!` She said. `I got you something.` She spoke softly approaching him slowly as though he would hurt her, but he had no wanting to do so. She slowly reached into the small pocked of her dress and pulled out a tiny pin. It was a beautiful gold horse with a jockey sitting atop it. During the night, they had managed to slip a halter on the mustang, though he put up quite a fight. She reached up and slowly pinned the horse to his halter. He looked down at the shiny gold horse. He looked back down at the small girl, a smile covering her face. Without a thought, he leaned his head over the railing and placed it on her shoulder. He felt the small touch of her hands as she stood on her tip-toes and wrapped her arms around his neck.
"Over the next several years, I grew up alongside Emily. She was mine, and I protected her with my life. One day, A falcon flew over head and I whinnied to it, she caught the hint and immediately named me Falcon. That's how I got my name. She did everything with me, she even broke me. I trusted her with my life and it wasn't long until our abilities and her wishes came true`
As the young stallion walked down the long road leading to the young girls house, who was now 16, he looked up at her as she sat in the saddle on his back. `Come on Falcon, let's show em'` She said. They always pretended they were in a race and they loved it! Falcon immediately stopped and listened as she spoke. `Racers are in the starting gate.` She made fake shutting-gate noises. `They're all in` She said leaning low on his back and getting close to his ear. `And they are off!` She yelled. Falcon immediately pushed off of the ground and shot forward, galloping down the road. The trees passed in a blur and the young girl smiled. Within minutes they were at the house and the girl pulled him to a stop. `Falcon and his rider, Emily, win once again! Will they ever be defeated!?` She said in a manly voice with a laugh. She hopped off of his back and rounded his head to face him. `One day, I promise you and me will race. Be right back` She said with a smile. Quickly she gave him a peck on the nose and ran inside. Falcon watched the screen door slowly shut, and turned his gaze to a black car slowly stopping by the barn. A thin older man stepped out and slammed the door shut. The man passed the stallion with a glance and entered the house. Voices came from the large estate followed by a screaming Emily as she ran out of the house and skipped the steps by jumping them, a smile covering her whole face. `Falcon! You will never guess who that was! Go on guess! It was John Martin, a retired racehorse trainer! He saw us riding and wants to help us train to enter the Geral race next month! Oh my goodness!!` She hopped in circles before grasping his halter and leaning in close. `Do you know what this means?` She said more calmly. `Our dreams are coming true!` She quickly rapped her arms around his neck with a smile. Martin, walked out of the house with a smile and walked up to the stallion. `You'll do boy, but hey Emily` He said. `Yes?` She asked. `,,Let him run his race` Martin said before disappearing into his car and driving away.

Emily sat watching the car disappear down the long road, her mind rambling on about what he meant. Soon, she shrugged it off and turned to Falcon once more. `Goodboy, let's begin our training, shall we?` She raised an eyebrow and laughed, grabbing his reigns and leading him down towards the small practice arena where they ran the horses to test their stamina and speed. Falcon followed behind Emily but his eyes went to Lilly as she sat at the edge of the pasture grazing gracefully. `Beautiful...` He thought before walking into the large pasture.
Emily pulled herself into the saddle and leaned down low close to the stallion's neck. `Ready, set,...` She pushed the button on the timer `Go` Falcon pushed off of the ground propelling himself forward and around the pasture. As he passed the motion sensing speedometer on the fence, Emily slowed him to a stop and hopped off before catching her breath and walking over to it. Falcon watched for any sign to what he got. He didn't expect what happened next, Emily hopped around in the air smiling. `You got 68 miles per hour, that's like a car!` She laughed and ran over to the stallion before kissing his muzzle.
"Within weeks, I was ready. The race couldn't come soon enough for Emily, but for me..I was terrified. I loved to run, and the truth is all horses are fast. You just have to find one that loves to run. The things that scared me the most, were those gates. They stuffed me into a small metal cage and rang a loud bell in my ear telling me to run! It worked I ran for my life!"
Emily held Falcon's reigns as she stood at the end of the long hall leading to the race track where hundreds of people waited to cheer on the victor, or also known as "The walk of Fame" She hopped onto Falcon as Martin approached. `Now remember,` He began `Don't keep him back for too long and make sure you don't wear him out, now go and be careful` He said. Emily nodded and clicked to Falcon as he began walking down the long concrete hallway. As he reached the other side, the sun flickered into his eyes as hundreds of people yelled and leaned over the edge waving at the horses and people. None of the signs anyone was holding said his name, but it was his first race. He walked onto the track and a stranger on another horse grabbed his reigns and led him down the track and towards the gates. He caught glimpses of a few other horses in the race. He saw a black stallion, a thin chestnut mare, and a bay horse. He reluctantly entered the metal gate and listened as it closed behind him.
Emily smiled and rubbed his neck. Their colors were yellow and orange. Emily wore a regular jockey uniform with yellow and orange checkers. Flacon's blanket was the same and so was his mask.Their number was 7 and was plastered onto his blanket. Emily pulled the glasses down over her eyes and leaned down low on Falcon. `Give it your best shot` She whispered. Falcon snorted and listened for the bell. "Riiinnnggg!!!` The noise echoed as the gates flew open. Falcon shoved the ground behind him and propelled himself forward. `Number 7 has a good start, number 6 in a good position. Taking the lead is StrayGrafi. Taking the back Is Falcon.` The speakers echoed as Falcon raced to keep up with the rest of the horses. `Come on boy, you can do it.` Emily yelled. They rounded the first and last turn and were only 11 poles from the finish line. Emily sighed as she realized she was losing, suddenly Falcon sped past the horse next to him and then the next. "Falcon seems to be taking a turn for the best. He has passed number 3, now number 1, He has passed number 6, He is now 3 horses from the front. He has passed Number 4, and now 5. He is in second place now!` The speakers echoed as Falcon sped up towards the front. The crowds cheered louder then ever. `He has now passed number 2! He is in first place! He is 2 lengths in front, now 3! And Falcon takes first place by 3 lengths!` The speaker yelled as he passed the finish line. Emily screamed and laughed as they won her arms were thrown in the air.
