Soldado eyed the male "I will, but will you do me a favor also? Talk to her, calm her down. She doesn't think straight when she is mad, and she needs to focus on this war, so calm her down a bit.." He said standing up straight and turning. He made his way towards the group of hunting wolves gathered around the creek bank. "Mikah, Emily, Soarin, you three search the north part, take any lone does. Mikah, you're in charge of the group. Liren, Gura, and Serin, You three follow me." He turned and took off into the forest with the three behind him.

Jarrah nodded, "I was going to anyway." When he made sure Soldado had sent the patrols, he leaped up the Great Rock and sat outside of Akila's den. "Akila." He barked questioningly, waiting for the 'come in' signal. When Akila twitched her tail, he entered and sat down beside her. "Maybe we can talk to th-." "No. There will be no peace between the two packs.

(okay,)
Soldado, Liren, and Serin slowly stalked through the thick foliage of the forest, following the scent of a large elk herd. Soldado's ears swiveled as the ground began to tremble slightly. The three wolves paused, looking at each other in a confused manner. "What the-" Liren began to question when the clear sound of hooves became audible. Soldado stood up all the way, peering over the thick foliage. His ears rose and his eyes widened as he caught sight of a large herd of elk, headed straight for them. "Stampede!" He barked turning quickly and taking off with the two wolves behind him. "Look! A log up ahead! We can hide behind it!" Liren barked. As they neared the log, The three wolves leaped, backing up against the log just as the herd began to leap over it. "Where's Siren!?" Soldado Liren barked. Soldado looked ahead, through the dust and hooves, he could make out the limp body of a wolf laying still on the cold forest floor. "Siren!.." Liren cried out to his brother. Soldado's eyes widened as he remembered the pack law. "Never save a dieing wolf, if it means losing another"
Soldado attempted to resist the urge, but his pride over cumbered his mind and he leaped forward, through the stampede, and landed over Siren's body. He covered it, as the weight of elk began to pound his back, as the frightened animals landed atop of him. He stood still, grinding his teeth in pain. As the last of the elk passed, he took a few steps back. "Siren!" Liren barked running to his brother. Soldado nudged the wolf "Siren?"
"He's gone.." Liren said, placing his ear against his dead brother's chest. "There's no heart beat.." Liren let his ears fall. "What caused such a stampede!?" Soldado growled. "Um...I would guess..that" Liren said, his eyes turning from sadness, to fear as he looked behind Soldado. "What..?" Soldado turned to see several large yellow machines heading towards them. Beeping noises echoing in the forest, as the machines rolled towards them. "Run Liren!" Soldado barked. The wolf turned and took off, leaving Soldado and his dead brother. Soldado leaped forward, grabbing Siren's body just as a large tree fell, missing them by inches. Soldado eyed the machines with a mouthful of fur as he drug Siren's body. He turned and took off, dragging body, attempting to avoid each tree as it fell. He slowly stopped and looked behind him at a large pine tree, heading down towards him. He turned and threw Siren's body towards Liren. It landed infront of Liren, just as the tree Hit Soldado. "Soldado!" Liren barked as the dust cleared. "Take his body..and go get help.." Soldado muttered, the tree pinning him. "You..you broke pack law.." Liren whined. "Just go!" Soldado barked. Liren grabbed his brother's body and took off towards the den site. Soldado looked behind him as the machines drew closer. He attempted to pull himself free, but only whined as the pine tree held him down. His back had a sharp pain, stretching from his back legs to his neck. He whined and laid his head down, his ears falling as he waited, hoping for help.
"Help!" Liren whined through a mouthful of fur as he managed to make it to the pack dens. "Somebody!" He barked setting his brother down. "Help! Soldado's in trouble!"

Akila perked her ears and shot out of the den. She leaped from the Great Rock. "What happened?" Her gaze traveled to the dead body. "No." She saw the hoof prints and gashes in Siren's body. "Stampede? What caused this! Where is he?"
Jarrah was about to protest, but the pleading call of Liren rang in the den. He followed Akila and stood at her side as they witnessed the body of Siren. When he heard that Soldado was in trouble, he hid a smirk. 'A sign that he's not for Akila.' Akila motioned for him to stay behind and guard Tigra. As he turned away, he heard Akila order Liren, "Take me to him."

Liren leaped, taking off into the thick forest. Soon, the beeping of the machines rang in their ears, as the yellow came into sight. Liren leaped over a large log, and came to a stop infront of a large fallen tree, a few yards from the machines. Soldado laid beneath it, obviously in pain. "He was saving Siren! And he got crushed beneath the tree..he broke pack law to save my brother" Liren whined. The machines headed towards them. Liren rammed his nose under the log, and began to push it up. "Akila, can you pull him out!?" Liren barked. Soldado's eyes flickered open as he looked up at The white form of Akila. Soldado's ears went back. "No! You can't!" He barked. He turned to face the large yellow machines, only a couple of yards away. "Akila go now!" He barked. "You have a pack to run, Go!" He barked once more. "Akila!" His eyes begged her to leave, he needed her to go. "Go" He barked. Liren slowly set the log down and looked at Akila. "Please.." Soldado mumbled

Akila shook her head. "I'm not leaving. It is my job to protect the pack." She glanced at Liren. "Go back." Her eyes locked with Soldado's. She tried ignoring the pleading. "No. I can't leave you." Her voice trailed to a barely audible whisper, "You're all I have left." She spoke the truth. Akila had lost her mother, father, siblings, mate, and her own pups. Soldado was her best friend. She couldn't lose him. She tried pushing against the tree. Her back paws dug in the ground, and she pushed forward so hard, that her front paws came off the ground. "Come on." She whimpered. The tree budged, and though her energy was diminishing, Akila kept trying. She felt as if a tree had fell on her; her lungs felt crushed, since she couldn't take but short gasps while trying to move the tree.

Liren turned, taking off towards the pack. Soldado felt the world around him fading, his vision became blurry. He leaned forward, nuzzling the she-wolf. "Go" He whispered. He looked into her eyes. He leaned forward once more and licked her head. "Go" His voice pleaded to her, he wasn't going to make it, and they both knew it. He laid his head down on his paws, and sighed.
Lilly's ears perked, her eyes widened. She always did have hightened senses, stronger then most wolves. Her ears, picked up the distant sounds of the machines, and her nose picked up the smell of blood. She gave one glance to River, as she thought the situation over.
Soldado closed his eyes, his body was fading. The distant sound of paw's entered his ears. He opened his eyes to see the blurry body of a familiar, small she-wolf.
Lilly leaped over the under-brush, landing atop the fallen tree. She leaped off of it, landing beside Akila. She shoved her nose under the log, pushing. Her mind raced with thoughts, Tigra, Bruce, things that angered her. She pushed harder, her paws digging into the ground. As she got more angered, she pushed harder. Her nose began to bleed slightly as the tree slowly began to move. "Pull him out!" She barked.

Akila's eyes widened. This was the she-wolf and male that was from the Forbidden Pack. When the tree moved, Akila gripped Soldado's scruff and backed up. When they were out from under the tree, she let the wolf go and examined over him. "Are you okay? What hurts?" She turned to Lilly. "Why have you helped us?" She wasn't angry, but surprised that the wolves had helped them.

Lilly leaped over Soldado's body. "No time to talk" She grabbed Soldado's scruff and drug him quickly out of the way. She then leaped forward, ramming into Akila, and tackling her to the ground and out of the way, just as the machine rolled over the log, and rolled past them. Lilly slowly stood, shaking her fur out before walking over to Soldado. Lilly looked over at Akila. "we need to get him back to your den site" She said.

Akila got to her feet as she was pushed out of the way. She nodded and picked up Soldado by the scruff. "Follow me." She ordered, a bit muffled by the fur in her mouth. She began making her way to the dens, trying not to go to fast and avoiding the rocks to prevent jarring Soldado's body. "Just ahead." She barked through the fur once more.
River crawled under the male, letting him slip onto his back. He assured Akila that he would be fine. When she let go of his scruff, she sped up slightly, barking for Safara. The large Forbidden Pack male exchanged a glance with Lilly. "We can't stick around too long. They'll wonder why we were here."

lilly nodded "Thanks for helping,I know you didn't have to, you could have just ran to the pack and told on me, but thanks" She smiled as they reached the den site. "Akila?" Safara barked emerging from her den. "Soldado!" She barked running to them. She began checking him over. Lilly quickly placed down a bundle of different plants, she collected on the way back, knowing some would be useful. Safara cleaned his wounds, and used the right plants. "Uhg.." Soldado mumbled, slowly opening his eyes. Safara took a step back. "He isn't hurt badly, just a few scratches, luckily the tree only pinned him. "Akila? Safara? ..Lilly..River!?" He mumbled. "Why..why did you guys save me?"

Akila nodded to Lilly. When Soldado spoke, she snapped, but not angrily, "Oh hush. You know me better than that. I'm not going to let you die. Not if I can help it." She looked at Safara. "Is he going to be okay?"

Akila nodded and smiled. "I'll be back." She leaned in and whispered in Safara's ear. "I'm going to check on the humans. We may have to-." Instantly, her fur shot up. She looked at Lilly and River with fury filled eyes. "It was you. Tigra said it was the Forbiddens that lured the humans to my pack. And you tried covering it up by helping Soldado."
River tended his muscles and protested. "No. It wasn't us! If you go back, you'll see that our scent is nowhere around there."

Lilly Backed away "No..I swear! I heard the noises, and I came to help! Nothing more" She coward and backed away slowly to stand beside River.
"Stop" in one swift movement, Soldado stood between Akila, and River and Lilly. His head was low, his breathing was heavy. He held his right, back leg, slightly off of the ground. His wounds bled slightly. His right ear was torn, and he still stood between the three wolves. "Don't touch them" He said.
"Soldado, stand down! " Safara whispered harshly as the den site grew quite. "She's your alphess!"
Soldado looked at Safara then back at Akila. His ears were down, and his head was low, as though it was difficult to hold it up. "Don't" He said.

"Forbiddens aren't ones to just help us randomly." Akila looked at Soldado and nodded, "But if you trust them." She paused and looked over the two. "So do I." She sighed and let her fur lie flat. "Lay down and rest, Soldado. You need it."
Jarrah peeked out of the den. When he saw River and Lilly, he turned to Tigra. "Looks like your friends returned. Fail attempt to escape probably."
River looked over at Lilly and exhaled a sigh of relief. He stepped forward and dipped his head, "I assure you. We're not lying. In fact, we were on our way out when we heard those things(machines) and smelled blood."

Lilly nodded "Not after earlier, when we realized your strength when angered, we wouldn't try anything, let alone try anything alone" She sighed.
Soldado looked up at Akila, from his crouching position, his eyes thanked her. Soldado stood up all the way, still holding his back leg up, and his ears were down. "Akila, we must talk" He said limping around her. He limped past the alpha's den and as he did, he looked up, his eyes locking with Tigra's. She looked down at him, ears back and a straight face. His eyes flickered to Jarrah. Soldado gave the male one glance before walking forward, head high.
Tigra eyed the male limping below her. She slowly smirked, her eyes narrowing as he past. Her smirk turned to an evil smile as her ears went back, a plan growing in her mind.
Soldado stopped at the edge of the forest. "Akila..what did you mean earlier...about me being all you had left?' He raised an eyebrow

"Smart." Akila smiled and dipped her head to the two. "Be right back." She followed Soldado, following his gaze towards Tigra. She growled lowly, but continued on. At the edge of the forest, the she-wolf swished her tail and looked at the ground. "You're my best friend. I've lost everyone. I don't want to lose you."

Soldado's ears went back, through all the pain, the suffering, the lost causes, though he knew it was a thin chance, he still hoped she meant something more. He nodded "Well, I assure you, that will not happen" He stood and turned, limping towards his rock.

"Who knows, trying to save Tigra? Trying to report to us?" He sighed and laid down as they reached his rock. His leg was sore, and most likely broken but the pain had become numb.

Akila sighed and sat beside him. "What should I do? If Tigra remains prisoner, it could lead to war. But a wolf like that should have no right to live. We did nothing to them. It was the past generation." The strong leader was beginning to let the enemy's words get to her. She looked up at the sky. 'What would you do, father?' She asked silently.

Akila sighed and nodded, "If there must be a war, we need our best warriors to heal." She eyed his leg, then stood. "Get some rest. I'll keep a lookout for the humans."
River looked around awkwardly. "Do you think we should go?"

Lilly shook her head, "First, let's talk to the alphess, we need to get things straight about Tigra."
Soldado nodded, though he knew deep inside, they were both aware he wouldn't rest. He stood and sighed. "Akila, why didn't you go when I told you to.."
