Sienna ran alongside Valor, "Kali wait. You can't do this. The pack will fall apart. We didn't risk our lives to help you become Alphess, only for you to step down. Where will you go? How will you protect yourself with Tiber out there?"

"I don't know.." She said slowing down. A smile grew on her lips, as she jumped towards the two wolves. "You two can come with me!"

Sienna glanced over at Kali, "I'll gladly. The others were still giving me dirty looks. But Valor, what about your pack?"
The two wolves jumped over a bush and skidded to a halt. "Syke said that he had no need in knowing the information of the pack," Skylar debated whether she should pass on the last message. He really didn't thank her.

Valor furrowed his brow, his golden eyes narrowed. "I ugh-.." Skylar appeared with her companion just before Valor could answer. "He no longer cares.." Kali mumbled, her face expressionless. "I'll gladly join you." Valor broke the silence with a half-smile.
"You will!?" "Course, Packs are..dumb?" He put the statement in question form. "Great." Kali smiled. "You two should come." She turned her gaze to Skylar.

"But wouldn't all of us together be a pack? Besides, a wolf without a pack is like a star without a sky. Useless," Skylar perked her ears, shocked at the sudden question. Yes, she loved her pack, but yes, some still judged her for her treachery. She rolled her eyes and groaned, "Sure."
Aspen lookedover at Skylar, his crush on her was always obvious, but she never seemed to pay attention. But because she would be going, he would too. "Okay."
Syke's fur looked blood-washed when he traveled in the shadows. When he was a pup, he was a blinding bright red, but as he grew older, his fur darkened a shade, making him look all the more evil. Truth be told, Syke wasn't evil. He may look it and act it sometimes, but he was really a great guy. And now he was a really great guy who had lost everything: his home, his girl, even his enemy. He slipped into a fox's den, the fox apparently home, for it's stench nearly smothered him. But a low growl took care of that; the fox fled its home while it could. The fit was tight, he had squeezed into a burrow just large enough for him to curl up in. The adrenaline from the fight had receded, leaving him exhausted. Syke closed his eyes and eventually fell into a light sleep.
A flash of gray blurred his vision for a split second. Red eyes gleamed evilly down at him. Syke looked down at his dangling hind legs; below was a river. Syke was a good swimmer, but he'd have little to no chance at surviving if he fell into this one. Its fast paced rapids rolled towards a steep drop-off, one he knew that once he made it to the bottom, sharp, pointed rocks would impale his body, and if he didn't die from that, he'd surely drown. Panic rose in his chest, but he was too proud to let fear be seen in his eyes. He knew he would die. There was nothing to be afraid of.
He was hanging from a ledge on the side of a mountain. A deep laugh rumbled from the figure above, "What did I tell you? Smarts can outwit Strength." Syke snarled, and kicked at the air with hind legs. One paw started to slip and the gray wolf towering over him stepped on it, "Before you fall to your death, I wanted you to see how you've failed." He leaned to the right and Syke watched as Valor and Kali emerged from the corner, tails entwined and nuzzling. Fire blazed in his eyes as they met Tiber's. The wolf smirked and picked up his paw. Syke's claws made a deafening squeal as they slipped from the ledge. Syke howled as he fell, but he was silenced as he hit the water. The strong currents flipped him over and over with ease as he struggled to get to the surface. The water took him over the edge of the waterfall, he looked up at the sky before closing his eyes and feeling the air in his fur turn hot.
Syke jumped up and gasped, hitting his head on the ceiling of the burrow. His heart raced, feeling as if it were about to burst out of his chest. When he realized that he had only been dreaming, he sighed and laid back down. It had felt so real; his lungs ached from the water had rushed in them while he was underwater. Slowly, he closed his eyes again.
((I was thinking, maybe we could make his dream a reality. He won't die, though. He's my dahlin.))

(yeah, sounds good.)
"people wish on shooting stars, not ones stuck against a black background." Kali said, a smile on her face.
"We should get moving, it's getting dark and we need to find a place to rest." Valor said, standing from the ground and heading towards the waterfall, a mile or so outside of the territory. As they neared it, kali found an opening in the rock beside the cascading water that led into the rock and behind the waterfall. "this'll do." she said, slipping into the hole.
(it'll be a few posts before it happens, so that kali&valor can get the feelings and tiber heals.)

((Okay! But it doesn't have to be in the next few posts. It can be in the next few rp days or whatever.))
Skylar sighed and nodded, "Very well. Let's just try and avoid drama for a while though."
Sienna smiled, "I'll second that. There's been enough of that lately."
As they each made their way into the den, Aspen waited until everyone else was inside before glancing around and checking the air. He crawled inside and looked outside, and yawned, "Goodnight."
((Syke's just sleeping.))

(I'm back!!!)
The thin rays of the glimmering sun slipped through the cascading water and into the small den-like area, waking Kali from her sleep. Her bright yellow eyes flickered open as she looked around the den, her eyes falling on each of the wolves sleeping around her. She let a soft sight out before pushing to her feet and padding out of the cave and into the small open area. Her ears swiveled to catch any noises around her, as she paused, sniffing the air.
Valor's golden eyes opened at the sound of someone shuffling in the den. He lifted his head just in time to see Kali's red tail disappear around the wall of water. He gazed around, noticing everyone still seemingly asleep before standing to his feet and padding after her. He slipped out of the cave but stayed silent, watching as she tested the air before walking alongside the small pool of water, her eyes searching the area. "You always wake up this early?" Valor asked, walking into plain view as he watched Kali jump at the sound of his voice. "Valor.." She sighed, "What are you doing awake?"
Valor let a small laugh slip out, "Well, most wolves do tend to wake up." He smiled, "Why so nervous?" Kali's eyes looked the male up and down, watching him for any sign of caution. "I'm confused," She replied quietly. "It's like..yesterday I was on an adrenaline high, I can't believe I did some of the things I did. I left my pack and my mate..." She sat down heavily, rolling her eyes at herself. Valor cocked his head but walked over to the small red fae, "You did what made you happy, what's so bad about that?" Kali let a defeated laugh slip out, "Like you do what makes you happy. A lead warrior? You're all about strictness and following the rules." She spat. Valor's ears pinned, taken aback at her statement. "If that was true, Why would I be hiding in a small cave with a bunch of runaways, including two darks?" He asked. Kali furrowed her brow, "You're right,..I'm sorry."
Valor slowly sat down, his eyes never leaving the fae. A dark apologizing was rare, especially for an alphess.

Sienna stirred awake, her eyes opened slowly, squinting until they adjusted to the sudden light. Half-blinded, she stood and started walking out of the den, accidentally stepping on Skylar's tail. The loud yelp echoed in the walls and the dark red wolf quickly apologized, "Sorry." She poked her head out of the entrance, "Everything's fine." When she saw Valor and Kali together, she smiled, made googly eyes towards Kali, then turned and whispered back in the den, "We're going hunting. Come on. Don't pay them any mind." She stepped back and cast a glance back at the two wolves, "Don't mind us. We're just going on a morning hunt. Nothing like it to get a good day's start."
Skylar felt pain sear through her tail and she jerked up, snapping at Sienna's foot, but missing. Once she realized what had happened, she calmed down and stood up to follow Sienna. Unfortunately, Aspen had woken up when Skylar yelped. He lifted his head and yawned, "I'm gonna just stay behind. I want to catch a few more hours sleep. I'll catch up," he yawned again, "later." But all at once, Sienna and Skylar both sent him death glares and he groaned, "Fine. I guess I could go hunting." He lowered his voice to an ambiguous (Ahh, lookeh at me. Using them vocab words.) mumble, "Hunting for another sleeping spot."
The three wolves started off from the cave and wound their way to a sunny place beside a small stream. Sunlight filtered down on flat rocks below and Aspen collapsed on one. "I'll just hunt here. I think it'll be best if we split up." The females rolled their eyes and walked away, soon picking up the soft snore from behind.
"I swear, he's always sleeping," Skylar shook her head, but a light smile played on her face.
"Let the poor baby sleep. He's going to need it soon. We'll make the boys go for the evening hunt themselves," Sienna smiled, but it slowly faded. "But you know what? Kali and Syke really liked each other. I wonder what happened. He was obviously upset with her when he left the pack. Had they been mates, he wouldn't have left her."
Skylar shrugged, "Who knows. I'm sure we'll figure out soon enough, though."

"I just-" Kali's voice faded off as he furrowed her brow, her eyes locking onto Sienna. A quick jolt of reality hit her as she realized what the fae was doing and rolled her eyes before letting a small laugh slip out. Valor's golden optics narrowed as he tried to follow Kali's gaze but was to slow and only managed to see Sienna stick her head back in the den and get the other two wolves. "Be careful," Kali called out, watching the three wolves disappear into the surrounding trees and foliage.
"Hey,.." Valor mumbled, his eyes flickering around the area. He studied his surrounding before letting a small smile creep onto his lips. "I know where we are..I used to come here all the time." Kali furrowed her brow and stood, eyeing the male. "Really? I've never been here, I think it's in the neutral territory." She replied. Valor smiled and stood from his haunches, walking closer to the creek before leaping over it. "What are you doing?" Kali asked, confusion filling her voice. "I'm going to go explore. This was my childhood hiding spot." He smiled back at her. "You? explore? Since when do you have fun?" Kali asked, her ears pinning back. Valor was tough, hard a perfect soldier. She had never heard of this side of him, let alone seen it.
"I'm not made of boredom Kali." He laughed, "Well you have fun. I'm just gonna bask in the sun." Kali replied, sitting back down. "Fine, suit yourself." He smiled, a small smirk growing on his lips as he jogged into the trees. He didn't get far when he heard her paw steps behind him as she attempted to catch up. He gazed behind him just in time to see a blur of red fur pass him as she ran ahead. A low growl escaped his muzzle as he smiled and took off after her. Kali could hear him close behind her, causing her to giggle slightly. She pushed through the trees, just as she began to gain speed something blocked her path and she ran straight into it, a loud yelp escaping her muzzle as she rolled onto the ground. Slowly, she pulled herself up shaking her head as she kept her hind quarters on the ground.
"Sienna?" She asked, a smile crossing her lips as she realized she ran straight into her friend. "Where's Skylar? Did I hit her too?" She asked, looking around but spotting the fae. "There you are." She smiled. "What in the world.." Valor's voice caused Kali to jump slightly as he jogged into the clearing and pulled to a stop, eyeing the small group. "What h..." He froze, his muscles tensing as his ears perked. "Syke..he's near." Kali's ears perked, "What?" She asked. "Either that or he was here earlier. But his scent is strong on the breeze."

Sienna jumped back, startld, then smiled, "Jeez, you nearly scared me to death." She looked at Valor, then eyed Kali, "Good! Maybe we can try to get him to join us."
Skylar nudged Sienna, "Orrrr, we can just let him live forever alone." She was, in fact, his evil other. Sienna and Aspen, however, had kind of broken the evil bond since leaving the packs. (Is that okay?)
Syke perked his ears, but didn't stir, in case he made any noise. They sounded like they were right outside, probably were. When Skylar spoke, he bit back a growl and listened further. He didn't want to face the wolves right now. Didn't want to face Kali.

(Mhmm.c: After all, Valor's Kali's evil other.!)
Kali's ears pinned back as she looked between each of the wolves, it was true. Syke would be a good asset to the group, and most of the wolves had seemed to lose their rivals against one another, but would the same go for Skylar and Syke? "Sienna you should go speak to him. Or scout out the area, if he's not here then okay. But if he is speak to him."

((That's right!!! I forgot.))
Sienna nodded, "On it." She turned tail and ran to a place on the ground where there was loose dirt. Syke surely wasn't that stupid, but he no longer had to worry about being found by rival packs. Sure enough, though, massive paw prints led toward the south. She followed them, his scent getting even stronger. "Syke. Where are you? It's only me you can come here."
Syke lowered his head and looked through the crevice. Sienna was right outside. She'd find him sooner or later. Grunting, he crawled out of the burrow and shook the dirt from his fur, "I'm not interested."
"But you don't-"
"You want me to join your little group. Forget it. Now leave me alone."
"If you change your mind, come talk to me. Bye, Syke," Sienna turned and walked back to Kali. "He's not interested."

Kali's expression stayed calm as Sienna returned, "I figured as much," She mumbled, her tail swishing back and forth. "He's hard headed, he wont change his mind." Valor stated, stepping towards the small group. Kali looked back at him, "I never thought he would.." She replied, but it was a lie. She hoped he would change his mind, but how did Valor know that? It was as though he could tell her thoughts by just looking at her.

Syke listened in on their conversation, a moment of doubt flickered in his mind before he shoved the thought to the back of his head.
Sienna cleared her throat, "Or you could go talk to him, Kali. He's right that way."
"He's made his decision. Let's not try to change it for him," Skylar mumbled.

"Of course not, he's made his choice. And we must respect that." Pushing herself to her feet, Kali sent a glance towards Valor who caught her look before nodding in understanding. Kali let a large sigh escape her lips before taking a step forward only to fall to the ground heavily. Her legs seemed to give out from under her. A loud gasp escaped her throat as she hit the ground. Small whines sounded from her as she struggled to stand, "I can't walk.." she gasped. (I'm gonna have her fake being hurt and valor's gonna say he hurt his paw during the fight so he can't help her and kali's gonna try to use that to lure syke out.cx)

((Tis alright girl! I missed you though! So glad you're back! But ahh, I see what you did there.))
Syke's ears shoved forward at the cry of pain. It sounded so out of place, but he knew it was Kali. He jumped through the air and swiftly appeared at Kali's side. "What's wrong?" He put his muzzle on her shoulder. He could smell Valor's scent on her and he almost walked away. Almost. His eyes narrowed when he realized he had been tricked and stepped back. "What do you want? I said I wouldn't join you."

Kali's ears pinned back as he stepped away, did she really miss his touch that much? "Syke.." she muttered in almost a daze. "I-We..we need you." She replied. "Please.." She added. Valor, less than pleased with the situation, frowned, but looked away.

Syke's gaze looked down at Kali, but he shook his head, "I risked my life to win the pack for you. You would have been safe there. Forget it." He snorted as he began to walk away., "Don't come looking for me either. I don't want to be associated with you anymore." He was talking to Kali but he glared at Valor. He took his girl, now he had to live alone never to see her again. It was a must if he wanted to move on his life.

"Wasn't planning on it, sweetheart. I see you've made your choice," the red wolf glared at Valor one more time before flicking his tail and trotting away. His footsteps slowly faded away as he added to the distance between them. This was it. He had had his last look at Kali, just told her that he didn't want her anymore. Which was the furthest from the truth. He'd want Kali by his side for the rest of his life, think about her everyday, but he knew it was over.
Before he knew it, he had made his way to the river that ran through the old pack's territory. He was far from the border, though. The pack was another thing he never wanted to see again.
Sienna winced at Syke's harsh words. The way he said them were ice cold. "Syke..." She stepped towards him but Skylar snapped, "Let him go. We don't need him."

Sienna pinned her ears back and sat down. She waited until Kali had walked on before whispering, "He's like that because he doesn't want to be hurt anymore."
Aspen and Skylar sat down beside Sienna, "But he doesn't have to o about it like that."
Sienna smiled shyly, "You don't understand Syke. He's his own little wolf. No one could even possibly try to act like him."
Syke trotted alongside the river, watching gradually as the river got farther away as he walked up a steep hill. He was on the side of a cliff, the river far beneath him. Syke sat down and sighed, looking down at his paws.
((If you want, River can go ahead and push him off. Then *dream scene*))
