As the pack neared the den, the last human stood waiting. He smirked as they came into view and he aimed his gun right at them. The pack skidded to a stop, fear taking them over. Which one would be shot? The human's smile suddenly faded as his eyes widened and his skin went white. A large tearing sound was heard before the human fell face first into the ground, dropping the gun. Behind him stood Soldado, his mouth dripping with blood. The human's back had been torn into. Soldado spat out a small piece of spine that was in his mouth, his golden eyes were angry, his head pounded with pain. The raw taste of blood in his mouth seemed to feed his anger.

Akila stood stiff-legged. Her eyes widened. "S- So-" She didn't try to finish. Instead, she ran to him. "I'm sorry. It's my fault. I should've ordered to leave earlier."

Soldado didn't hesitate, he wrapped his head around her and hugged her. "Shut up" He said. "It isn't your fault" He took a step back and looked at her, the gash stopped right above his eye.

Akila looked at Soldado, "We've got to get every one's wounds healed. But first we must find a temporary camp. I'll scout ahead for a permanent den site." She flicked her tail and walked through a narrow path between some bushes.
"Sabri, I want you to go ahead and heal them. Soldado, I want you to get that wound healed and no more. I'll take care of the hunting." She flicked her tail and a large male, the Beta, came to her side. She whispered something to him, then turned to the pack. "Jarrah is in charge until I get back. I want no one to follow me." She cast a glance at a few tumbling pups. "I will be back as soon as I can, but I won't come back unless I find another den site." With that, Akila leaped over some bushes and disappeared.

Soldado watched the she-wolf leave, and as she disappeared the pack stood dumbfounded and confused. Soldado's ears went back in annoyance and he held back a growl. "You heard her! Get moving!" He snapped.

((I'll rp Jarrah.))
Jarrah, a large brown and red furred wolf stood tall and looked at each wolf. "Soldado. Alphess Akila told me to tell you to rest. I was ordered to 'keep an eye on you.'" He turned and sent a hunting patrol out, then sniffed the air. No human scent around, but he wanted to make sure. A pair of warriors shot off to patrol the area. Jarrah sat down on a rock and watched the remaining pack.
Akila shot off through the woods. She felt wrong to leave the pack in such desperate measures, but she had to find a new den site as soon as possible.
For two days, Akila searched nonstop for the perfect camp. A couple of times, she found what could be good, but not good enough. Then, just as she was about to pick one of the 'good' den sites, she found it. It was perfect. There were five dens, one for the pups, one for the Hunters, one for the Warriors and Betas, one for the Healer, and one for the Alphas. It was beside a cliff, in which a waterfall fell to a small creek. A perfect water supply, dens, and Akila found that food source was abundant. Excitedly, the she-wolf claimed the territory and began making the two day journey back to the others.

Slowly Soldado, lowered himself to the ground and laid down, sighing heavily he drifted off. He woke several hours later. Mostly, he watched the sunset and rise for the two days Akila was gone. His wound healed slowly, leaving a large pink scar on his temple.

Almost there. The white she-wolf reminded herself. As the scents of her pack drifted in her nostrils, she sprinted back. She leaped over the bush and howled, calling the wolves to form a circle around her. "I've found it" she panted. "The den site is perfect. There's a stream that runs alongside the camp, plenty of food, and there's plenty of room." She smiled and looked over the pack. "We've found home."
After checking on everyone, she announced that it would be around a two day journey. Exhaustion drug at Akila's paws as she thought of the already four days with no rest. But she didn't let it show, for she lead the way through the forest with her head and tail held high.
Akila sniffed the air. It was her scent markers. Her ears perked with excitement. She padded along, looking back at the pack a time or two to check to see if they weren't lagging. When she stepped out into the clearing, she turned and met her pack's eyes. "We're home."

It had been almost two weeks since he had seen Akila. Soldado leaped from his rock and followed after the pack. As they reached the new den site, he watched as the pack immediately took it over, laying about and sniffing the new place. He made his way to a large rock that hung over the side of the pack. He laid on it and surveyed the land, his tail swishing like a cat. Over the past two weeks, he had grown quite large. He was thick with muscles now, and much taller. His eyes seemed more mature and stronger, not to mention his howl. His scar told the story of the faithful day they lost the den site, but he was barely recognizable to anyone but he knew deep inside Akila would recognize him.

Akila sent a patrol to set scent markers around the den site. After they settle down, she will send them to mark the entire territory. The she-wolf scanned over her pack, then glanced aside at the black heap of fur on the rock. She padded over to him and dipped her head, "Soldado. How were things while I was away?"

Soldado stood and looked down "Akila!" He leaped down from his post and trotted over to her. He was a few inches larger then her now, and his voice was deeper then before. He might have change in everyway, but his cocky yet serious attitude stayed. He smiled "Nice to see you back again." The only thing that showed he had even been in that raid was his obviously painful scar.

Akila dipped her head and smiled, "Nice to see you again too, Soldado." The white she-wolf looked over him, "Did you rest while I was away? I see you seem a lot better. Thanks for alerting the pack when you did. Had you been any later, the whole pack may not have survived."

He smiled his usual side smile "No need to thank me alphess, just doing my job." His ears slowly fell and his smile faded "I...I am just gonna go check the area for food, I'll be back soon. You need to rest" With that, he walked past her and towards the forest.

Akila sighed. She knew he was right, but she had so much to do. Her gaze followed the black male as he disappeared. The white she-wolf looked at the ground, turned, and walked in a large den. She plopped down and looked around. Such a large space for only one wolf.

Soldado immediately made his way towards a waterfall he had originally seen on the way up there. He leaped onto a large rock and laid down slowly. "What is wrong with me.." He mumbled. He wanted to be happy...but why wasn't he?

Akila sighed as she thought of Nitro. "Oh, Nitro." She buried her face between her paws. "How have I survived without you." Her ears pinned back against her head as the vivid flashback entered her mind, the male diving to protect the last heir of the alphas'. Akila winced and opened her eyes. The dull gaze rested on the floor of the cave a few feet in front of her.

"Akila.." Soldado, whispered as he slowly entered the alpha's cave. "Akila, I found a carcass a few miles south,...it was shot twice.."

All of a sudden, the life seeped back into her eyes. The she-wolf sat up quickly and spoke, her voice quivering. "W-what? Was it freshly killed?"

"Yes, Maybe 2 hours the most." He sighed "I will go check it out,.." His eyes flickered brightly for a second as though with life. He had a bad past, and liked to forget it. After the second raid, he began to turn to killing animals not only for food, but for the fun of it. He turned to spilling blood to become happy and to forget his past. Akila helped him pull out of his old ways and now he was peaceful. Though, he always seemed to lack the life he had before. His eyes flickered with the familiar brightness they had years ago, when blood brought him happiness. "I will be able to..Without spilling blood" He added hoping to convince her.

Akila eyed him for a second. "Do you promise? Do you want me to come with you?" As soon as she said that, she regretted it. He was no pup. Why treat him like one? "Soldado, I'm trusting that you won't put the lives of the pack in danger. If you do kill, bring it back to the pack. And please be careful."

Soldado eyed the alphess, hoping to convince her when harsh words piled into his ears. "Do you Promise? Do you want me to come with you?" His ears went back as though being scolded. "I promise, and I will." He turned and exited the den before high tailing it towards the south.

Akila followed Soldado to the outside of her den. Her ears fell when she saw the hurt in his eyes. When he had gone, the white she-wolf turned and entered the den once more. "I didn't mean it like that."

Soldado walked slowly towards the carcass, sniffing the dead deer slowly. His ears went back and he looked up before slowly walking over the carcass and deeper into the woods. The bushes ahead of him rustled, and he froze. He narrowed his eyes and waited for the animal or human to appear when a familiar brown wolf lunged out. He ran right into Soldado, sending the two wolves to the ground. Soldado rolled over and watched as The brown wolf ran "Liren! What the hell!?" Soldado barked. "Run man!" Liren howled high tailing it towards the den. Liren was one of the wolves Akila sent out to mark the territory. Soldado narrowed his eyes and turned just in time to see a bullet fly over his head. He narrowed his eyes and listened as the sound of hoof beats and humans yelling got closer. "Oh no!" He barked rolling onto his feet as a horse leaped over the bushes, a human on his back. Another horse ran around the bushes, both humans had guns aimed at the two wolves. Soldado took off running just as another bullet flew over him, hitting the brown wolf a few yards ahead of him. The wolf went down, And Soldado leaped over him before turning to the right. "I can't lead them to the den!" He growled speeding up as the men's voices and shouts got louder.

Akila swiveled her ears as the sound of a gun rang in her ears. She leaped out of the den and barked. "In the dens now! I want this place silent, not one whimper or whine. They're coming! Some others are out; I have to find them." Akila made sure that everyone is in the den before charging towards the gun shots. "Soldado!"

Soldado's breathing was heavy and drained out almost all the sounds, except for the shouts and gun shots of the drunken humans. "Soldado!" The words echoed in the forest. His ears perked and he looked to his right, "Akila..?" He mumbled. Another shot rang out, and he ducked watching as the bullet hit the ground beside him. "Heeya! WooO!! Time to get some dog tonight! Come on stupid horses heeya!" The men yelled. Soldado growled to himself and leaped over a log in his path before turning to the right sharply. His eyes narrowed and he sped up, aiming for a tree. He leaped and landed on the tree, and pushed off of it. He leaped through the air and right over one of the horses heads to knock one of the guys from his horse. "Uhh.." The man mumbled as they hit the ground. Soldado looked back as the other guy and his horse turned quickly and galloped towards him. Soldado jumped off of the guy and ran through the forest.
