Akila leaped out into the open just in time to see Soldado's tail disappear once more. "Soldado! Run!" She howled, hoping to catch the hunter's attention. She didn't expect the hunter to turn as sudden. When the shot rang, Akila felt a sharp pain in her hind leg. She whimpered, but adrenaline allowed her to escape the clutches of the human just in time.

"Akila!?" The male barked and skidded to a stop quickly. He watched as a blur of white appeared and whined as a bullet hit it. "Akila!" He leaped forward running towards the injured female. He turned sharply as he reached her and grabbed her by the scruff of her neck. Since he was so much larger then her, he carried her much like a puppy and ran through the thick forest. He listened as the sounds of the human crept closer. He closed his eyes as the a warm feeling slid down his front legs as Akila's blood poured out onto his legs. He opened his eyes, and they were glittering with the same aliveness from inside the den. He slowly came to a stop and placed the she-wolf down behind a large thorn bush. "Stay here" He said before leaped over the bush and running towards the hunter. Whimpers and screams echoed in the air for a few moments, before a horse ran by the bush, with no rider

Akila fell to the ground when Soldado put her down. Blackness crept around her eyes, but before she blacked out completely, she saw the horse with no rider and managed to whisper, "Soldado."

"Akila..Akila!" Soldado mumbled as he nudged the white wolf softly. "Crap.." He mumbled as he slipped his head under her chest, and stood up pulling her onto his back. He turned and glanced once more at the puddle of blood she laid in before he began carrying her back to the den site.

Akila's shallow breathing was the only thing that told her she was still alive. Her fur was stained red from the blood. Warmth seeped from Soldado's fur into her side. "Soldado." She whispered, still unconscious.

Soldado walked on, head low as he carried the motionless she-wolf. "It'll be okay..I am taking you home" He whispered as he made his way up the valley side.

"Home." Akila whispered. Her eyes began to open. The world around her swirled, making her dizzy. As they focused, she managed to lift her head high enough to see the wound, "Oh my. I better get that checked out." She murmured, "It's okay, Soldado. I can get home on my own now."

A low growl escaped the mouth of the male as he stopped walking. "Stay still" His voice was low and had a threat to it. He stood still a few moments before continuing to walk up the large hill. Finally, he reached the den site where slowly the pack surrounded them as he slipped into the alpha's den. "Safara!" He barked. "Yes?" A small brown wolf walked into the den. "I removed the bullet while she was out, but now you must cover it and clean it" He said sternly as he set her down softly. "Yes Soldado". Safara was his sister, and his only family left. He turned and began to exit the den when she stepped into his path. Though she was the tiniest wolf in the pack, even though she was a full grown adult, she had the biggest attitude in the pack. One that her brother always had to back up for her when she started fights. The brown wolf raised an eyebrow. "What about you?" She asked. "I'm fine"
"No you aren't" "Yes. I am" "I can smell it! I would know your blood anywhere!" She whispered. He growled "Shut it! I don't need anyone worrying about me, deal with the alphess and move out of my way"
The she-wolf glared at him for a few moments before stepping to the side and walking around him towards the alphess. "This will be better easy peasy" She said sending a glance back at Soldado before going to work. Soldado looked down at the ground before walking out of the den and passed the staring eyes of the pack before leaping onto his rock. He sat down with a sigh before shakily looking down at his shoulder. A large gash stretched from the base of his neck down to his chest. Blood trickled from it, but his dark fur hid it mostly. A tiny puddle formed on his rock as he gazed out at the forest. "I just need rest.." He mumbled.

Akila limped after Soldado and laid down in her den. She lifted her head and watched Soldado leave. She plopped her head back down and looked up at Safara, "Is he going to be okay?"

"I don't know,...his wound which I am sure you smelt is deep. If he gets worse I will intervene" she said sniffing the she-wolf's wound.

"Keep an eye on him." Akila huffed slightly before closing her eyes. "I owe him."

Safara sighed and nodded "Yes Alphess. You must rest now" She smiled softly and laid a soft leaf atop the wound.

Akila nodded slightly. The adrenaline had ebbed away, so she felt the pain spreading from her leg. She wiggled around to lay in a comfortable position and slowly fell asleep.

Safara sighed and sat back, observing the wound. Soldado was quiet, despite his pain. He kept his eyes closed hoping it would help stop the pain. "Why.." He mumbled

Akila stirred and opened her eyes. "I'm so stupid." She should've known better than to let Soldado go all alone. She sighed and managed to stand before limping awkwardly out of the den. Approaching the male, she sat down and sighed, "I'm sorry."

"You did what was best for the pack, I'm fine anyways" He sighed and slowly stood, ignoring his pain. "Let's go, You need to rest"

Akila smiled slightly and shook her head. "You can't lose, can you?" She joked and flicked her tail towards the warrior's den. "Go on. You rest. I'm fine. I actually just woke up."

Soldado stopped and looked back, a small growl building up in his throat. He never said something about health and just played about it. "Come on, time to rest" He said "You lost a lot of blood, and if you don't rest you won't get it back" He said, care in his voice.

Akila swiveled her ears back at the male's growl. She whipped around and let her fur rise. "I know what I need. Go rest. That's an order." She narrowed her eyes and stalked off towards Jarrah. "Jarrah, I want you to organize a hunting patrol. Stay away from there." She pointed her muzzle in the direction of where the humans where.

Soldado watched as she left, his expression hard. He scoffed softly and turned, heading for the edge of the woods instead of his den. He limped into them and slowly began heading deeper into the woods, walking along a deer trail. "It's different...she isn't the same" He said

After watching the hunting patrol run off, her amber gaze followed Soldado. She sighed, 'And I did it again.' The thought flew threw her mind, along with the things that she had done to make Soldado mad at her. She sighed and leaped up on the rock that overlooked the rest of the pack. "Just let him go." She murmured to herself.
"Yes, Soldado is strong. He can take care of himself." The deep voice of Akila's Beta Male sounded behind her. He had followed her to the rock unnoticed, causing the she-wolf to jump a bit. "I'm sorry that I startled you." He sat down beside her and looked down at the pack.

((Gonna add Jarrah.)) Picture: Name: Jarrah Gender: Male Age: 3 3/4 years Rank: Beta Male Personality: Jarrah is the proud type. He shows his dominance whenever he can. He can be as friendly as can be, but he is a bit aggressive. Assertive and accessible, Jarrah doesn't care what other's think of him, he knows he is the best. He is ambitious and certain that he'll win Akila's heart one day. History: Jarrah practically grew up with Akila. To Akila, they're good friends, but Jarrah wants to be more than just friends. Pelt Color: Gray, white and black Eye Color: Brown ((So basically, Akila refuses to let a male take the Alpha role. Jarrah's ambition to become Alpha and Akila's mate continues. He'll more than likely go to extreme measures to get what he wants. (I added him because it'll add suspense with Soldado and him.)))

(omg sounds good ) Soldado's legs froze as his body went still. His ears swiveled slightly and his eyes narrowed. "Yes I can take good care of myself" The voice spoke from behind the two wolves as Soldado climbed onto the rock and walked towards them. He stopped a few feet behind them. How Soldado made it to the rock within minutes was a mystery but he did it. "Jarrah, am argument has broken out between two females about food down by the creek. You should go take care of that, before it gets out of hand." He said, keeping his tone calm. Him and Jarrah never liked each other, both yerning for the love of Akila, though Soldado kept his more secretive. "Me and the alphess must talk..alone" He said eyeing them both."
